![]() ![]() I've found that to avoid this problem, I have to power off the monitor when I power down my computer, then when I go to power my system up, I have to leave the monitor off until my computer has booted to the desktop.ĭoing some Googling, I've found that this monitor has a few issues related to bad CAPs, but, the described issues don't really fit my issue. ![]() I press the monitor's power button and then it works. SUMMARY - Samsung 226bw SyncMaster 22 inch Widescreen LCD Monitor: The Samsung SyncMaster 226BW is a 22-inch Wide TFT-LCD delivering a 3000:1 Dynamic contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 1680 x 1050 resolution, 160 degree viewing angle and scanning frequency of 30-81kHz horizontal and 56-75Hz vertical. To get the monitor to work again, I have to unplug the monitor's power cord for 2 seconds and then plug it back in. Pressing the monitor's power button doesn't do anything and the monitor's blue power light is still on. However, when the OS starts to load, the screen goes black, but the monitor itself is still on. This issue only happen's on some Samsung 204B monitor's. The screen will blackout at random times and then flick back on, this does not occur when using the analogue input into the monitor. If I leave the monitor on with the PC off (monitor is in standby mode obviously), the monitor will produce an image for the POST cycle. The screen blackout issue with my Samsung SyncMaster 204B occurs when using the DVI input on the monitor. Who here has or has had a Samsung Syncmaster 226bw? Do / Did you have any issues with it? I currently have one and I'm having an issue with it not wanting to give an image once booted into the OS. ![]()
